What you need to do first is to honestly evaluate what you will use the tractor for and what size property you will be using it on. Then decide what size implements you need to do the job. On that basis then find out what tractors are capable of handling these implements. Example: I have a 4100 (20 HP) and it is very capable of handling a 4' brushhog, 50" tiller and 5' scraper blade, BUT if I needed to use a 5' brushhog, 60" tiller, or 7' scraper blade then I would personally move up to the 790 (much better buy than a 4200). The used 755 may also be a very good deal if it has been well maintained. The price sounds reasonable. I would put the 755 in the 4100 category. The number of hours on the unit are less significant than the maintenance record. Well maintained diesel tractors should go around 6 to 8 thousand hours before overhaul. Too many people buy tractors without first evaluating their needs and implement needs. Really, the size implement needed should dictate tractor size needed. ....
